RETURN FROM THE JUNGLE

Well the return bus trip was uneventful. The bus pulled up about an hour into the journey and the Indian women and a couple of fellows raced off into the bushes for a comfort stop. Amanda and the Russian girl decided they would hold on until the lunch stop. Big mistake....an hour later they were busting. They asked the driver to stop at a restroom. Another half hour he pulled up on side of the mountain...there was about 3 feet of grass. They declined. Another half hour they were getting angry at him. Finally they saw a cultural centre....with toilets....they insisted he stop. All the western women raced off the bus. There is a picture of the bus (pink) stopped in the middle of the road and the driver and his off-sider waiting patiently. There are pictures of the off-sider hanging out the door....he often travelled like this touting for local passengers that needed a ride. And a photo of him climbing back in the door. A few times on the trip, while the bus is still going he climbed out the door and onto the roof to check the luggage. There are also some shots of scenery to give and idea of the terrain we drove through.

Back at the Children's home the chicken coop is all but finished. It has doors and locks but today I need to try to find material to finish off the floor in each compartment.
